Is Neverland Dreamers a job placement program?
Yes, Neverland Dreamers is a skill-building and experience program. Our goal is to help participants learn workplace skills, build confidence, and practice responsibility—not to place them directly into employment.
Is this a paid program for interns?
Yes, it is!
Interns at Neverland Dreamers are paid wages for their work. We offer $8.00 per hour for up to 15 hours a week, providing valuable, hands-on experience while helping to support the development of their skills and confidence.
Intern Program FAQs
What ages can participate in the Intern Program?
The Intern Program is designed for individuals 16 years and older with special needs.
What types of activities will interns do?
Interns may participate in clothing sales, gift basket assembly, handmade products, snack shack and snow cones, local vendor-supplied honey sales, and organizing ball cards and board games.
Do interns work independently?
No. Interns are always supported by staff and volunteers. Tasks are guided and adapted as needed.
Do interns have to do every activity?
No. Activities are based on interest, ability, and program needs. Flexibility is built into the program.
Volunteer Program FAQs
Do I need experience working with special needs?
No prior experience is required. Volunteers receive guidance and work alongside staff.
What do volunteers actually do?
Volunteers assist interns with tasks, offer encouragement, help with activities, support sales areas, and help create a positive environment.
Can teens volunteer?
Yes, volunteer age requirements may vary by role. Please contact us for details.

Is the program supervised?
Yes. All activities are structured and supervised by staff and trained volunteers.
