Parents Information Program
At Neverland Dreamers, we believe that a strong partnership with parents and guardians is key to the success of our participants. The Parents Information Program is designed to provide families with the support and resources needed to make the most of our Intern Program and ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
Program Overview:
The Intern Program provides young adults with special needs the opportunity to learn valuable job skills in a structured and supportive environment. Parents play an important role in supporting their child’s participation, and we are here to help guide families every step of the way.
What Parents Can Expect:
- Ongoing Communication: We maintain open lines of communication with parents to ensure they are informed about their child’s progress and any support they may need.
- Program Orientation: Parents will receive a comprehensive orientation to help them understand the program’s structure, goals, and expectations.
- Regular Updates: Parents will receive regular updates about their child’s progress, including feedback from staff and any areas of improvement.
- Support and Guidance: Our team is always available to answer questions, provide guidance, and discuss any concerns.
How Parents Can Support Their Child:
- Encouragement: Encourage your child to participate and stay engaged in the program. Positive reinforcement helps build confidence and independence.
- Open Communication: Keep an open dialogue with staff and volunteers to stay informed about your child’s experiences and progress.
- Support at Home: Reinforce the skills learned in the program by practicing them at home. This will help solidify your child’s confidence and readiness for the workforce.
Getting Involved:
- Parent Volunteer Opportunities: We encourage parents to get involved in the program by volunteering, attending events, or helping with special activities. Your involvement makes a big difference in the experience we offer.
- Event Participation: Parents are invited to attend Sponsor and Volunteer Events, providing an opportunity to connect with other families, learn more about the program, and celebrate the progress of their children.
