Volunteers are a vital part of Neverland Dreamers. Our Volunteer Program is designed for individuals who want to serve with purpose by supporting participants with special needs in a safe, welcoming, and structured environment.

Volunteers work alongside staff to help guide activities, encourage independence, and create positive experiences for everyone involved.


Who Can Volunteer

The Volunteer Program is open to:

  • Adults and teens (age requirements may vary by role)
  • Parents, caregivers, and family members
  • Community members looking to serve
  • Students needing service hours
  • Individuals with a heart for working with special needs

Volunteer Roles

Volunteers may assist in a variety of areas, including:

  • Intern Program Support
    Assisting interns with tasks, offering guidance, and encouraging participation
  • Activity & Program Assistance
    Helping set up, supervise, and engage participants during activities
  • Retail & Sales Support
    Assisting with clothing sales, gift baskets, snack shack, snow cones, and other sales areas
  • Event & Setup Help
    Preparing materials, organizing spaces, and supporting special events
  • General Support
    Helping wherever needed to keep programs running smoothly

What Volunteers Do

Volunteers are expected to:

  • Be patient, kind, and encouraging
  • Follow program guidelines and staff instructions
  • Support participants without rushing or overwhelming them
  • Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere

No prior experience is required — training and guidance are provided.


Training & Support

All volunteers receive:

  • Clear expectations and role guidance
  • On-site support from staff
  • A structured environment with defined tasks
  • Ongoing encouragement and assistance
